Felt Roofing
Midland Roofing have specialised and operated within the built-up felt roofing space since our opening in 1979, working alongside with some of the leading manufacturers of felt membranes.
Over the years the development of these materials and their application methods have seen the rise of torch-on and self-adhesive, or cold-applied, installations, some of which can be suitable for more sensitive projects within the utility and education sectors.
With an extensive range of products to choose from they are versatile and can be used for almost any refurbishment or new build roofing works.
We are approved contractors with (BMI) Icopal, Bauder, IKO, Alumasc, Garland, Nova-Glass.
Slating & Tiling
For over a decade Midland Roofing have been involved in the slating and tiling sector using a wide range of products from clay, concrete, man-made slates, natural slates and metal composite tiling.
Concrete and clay tiles are commonplace among new build developments and refurbishments of existing roofs. With an array of colours, profiles and shapes they are a versatile tiling system suitable for any of the client’s preference.
An alternative system is slating. This naturally occurring product has been used for centuries to provide a long-lasting and attractive solution to waterproofing. It can also be manufactured from fibre-cement to be a more cost-effective waterproofing whilst remaining aesthetically pleasing.
Slating can be a challenging roof system, but Midland Roofing have developed a team of highly-skilled craftsman for the installation of this classic roof covering. We work closely with manufacturers such as Marley, (BMI) Redland and SIG.
Single Ply
Single Ply Roofing Systems offer new and versatile solutions for meeting the ever-challenging requirements within the new build and refurbishment sectors. With an aim to provide efficient installation, easy maintenance and longevity against the elements, Single Ply is well suited for use in all building sectors. Single Ply membranes also have a high rated thermal insulation and airtight construction making them suitable for reducing the carbon footprint of a building and are regularly seen paired with a green roof.
Using membranes designed specifically by Icopal (BMI) and IKO we can offer up to 25 years insurance backed guarantee on selected product ranges.
Green Roofing
Green roofs have become increasingly popular in recent years for helping adapt towns and cities to climate change, providing habitat for nature, reducing urban heat islands and indoor temperatures, managing storm water and creating visual enhancement of the landscape.
Green roofs can be installed in different styles ranging from intensive to extensive with a wide range of options for the type of planting used (i.e. plug plants or sedum blankets).
As of the 2017 living roofs have seen a growth of 17% in the London Area and is expected to grow further across the country in future years. As the demand for sustainable development and nature based waterproofing solutions increases Midland Roofing and our specialist installers hope to be at the forefront of these exciting new developments.

Liquid roofing has become a fast-growing sector with its promises of efficient application times, longevity and wide use of applications. It is ideal for complicated roof designs that call for intricate detailing or for clients who are seeking to avoid hot works. It can be used on new roof builds and for refurbishing flat or profiled roofs.
